Tropical forests are home to countless species. With local partners in Latin America and Central Africa, BOS+ protects and restores these forests, reconnecting fragmented habitats and planting native trees so wildlife can thrive again.

Forest policy and protection

BOS+ monitors and seeks to influence forest policy, acting as a constructive partner that also opposes deforestation and unwanted tree felling.

Forest education and awareness-raising

BOS+ develops educational materials and workshops on forests and climate for teachers, pupils and schools, to raise awareness about the importance of forests and trees.

Keeping forests standing for our climate

Healthy tropical forests store carbon, regulate rainfall and cool the landscape. BOS+ keeps existing forests standing and brings degraded land back to life, through restoration, fire prevention and climate-resilient farming like agroforestry.

Empowering forest communities

Local and Indigenous communities are the best guardians of their forests. BOS+ supports them with training, land rights and sustainable income from cacao, honey or ecotourism: better livelihoods and protected forests go hand in hand.
